Cosmetic Contacts Halloween

Do One-Year Cosmetic Lenses still “go bad” after one year if not worn regularly?
If you keep the contacts stored at an appropriate temperature in proper fluid, does a cosmetic lens designed as yearly lenses become dysfunctional or deteriorated in one year if you do not wear them regularly?
Basically, is there a decay that happens over time regardless of care or use, or is it based on a number of uses factor? The cosmetic lenses I want (which full cover the sclera) cost about $320 but I do not intend to walk around with them regularly. Their primary purpose is for a Halloween Costume and half a week at Comic-con.
Normal contacts certainly do so I would imagine the same is true of cosmetic lenses. Its about losing their ability to transmit oxygen to teh eye .
